Subaru of Jacksonville “Shares the Love” with Wolfson Children’s Hospital

Jacksonville, FL — Wolfson Children’s Hospital got a big gift from a local business.

Subaru of Jacksonville donated $125,000 to the nonprofit as part of its “Share the Love” campaign.

The dealership has been donating to Wolfson for the past five years, and Wednesday, it agreed to continue donating for another three years, pledging an impact of $1.25 million.

Michael Aubin, president of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, said the donations will help the hospital serve the children in the Jacksonville area and beyond.

“We’ve been adding more additional mobile care units. We just this year added a helicopter to go and pick the kids up, and we have a fixed-wing plane that actually flies to Daytona, Valdosta and Tallahassee. So we’re picking up kids from all over the region and super-region as the hospital grows.” he said.

Subaru of Jacksonville is owned by the Porter family.

To thank them for their partnership and support, the hospital’s trauma center is now named the “Porter Family Children’s Trauma Center.”
