PHILADELPHIA — First lady Michelle Obama made her speech at Day One of the Democratic National Convention Monday and spoke of watching her daughters Sasha and Malia spend their formative years in the White House and her support for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Her speech was met with much praise, especially by her husband, President Barack Obama:
Incredible speech by an incredible woman. Couldn't be more proud & our country has been blessed to have her as FLOTUS. I love you, Michelle.

But Twitter couldn't wait to make the joke Melania Trump, wife of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, was taking notes for her next speech.
Melania at home like... "BABE I GOT AN IDEA FOR A NEW SPEECH!!!" https://t.co/2IZ98QWDGm

The joke comes from plagiarism accusations the Trump campaign faced last week when lines from Melania Trump's speech resembled ones from Michelle Obama's 2008 Democratic Convention speech.
"... and that's why.... I'm with her. My husband, Donald Trump."
