BRADENTON, Fla. — A Florida teen died early Sunday after crashing his car into a pond, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The 17-year-old from Bradenton, whose name has not been released, was driving west at 4:50 a.m. EDT when his vehicle left the road, crossed the median, sidewalk and grassy shoulder and overturned into a pond, WFLA-TV reported.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash, according to WFTS-TV.
