Judge to rule Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Ye, making her officially single

Kim Kardashian’s longtime divorce battle with Ye will soon come to an end.

A judge said he will rule Wednesday that the two celebrities are divorced, making Kardashian officially single, The Associated Press reported.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran ordered the attorneys for both sides to finalize the paperwork ending the marriage before he declares her single. The former couple still has to come to an agreement for the custody of their children and property.

The two had been battling over their four children: North, 8; Saint, 6; Chicago, 4; and Psalm, 2, with West claiming that his children were being kept from him, BuzzFeed reported.

Kardashian has denied the allegations.

Among the paperwork was a legal name change for Ye, who was formerly known as Kanye West.

Last month, Ye challenged Kardashian’s request to be declared single, but said recently and that he would do what he could to make the divorce process move faster, according to BuzzFeed News

He told the gossip site, Hollywood Unlocked, that “I’ve asked my team to expedite the dissolution of my marriage to Kim so I can put my entire attention into our beautiful children.”

Kardashian, who filed for the divorce more than a year ago, attended the hearing via a video call, TMZ reported. Ye did not attend in any form, the AP reported.
