Officials: 3 dead, including child in possible home invasion in Illinois

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — Three people, including a child, were shot and killed Sunday in a possible home invasion in Bolingbrook, Ill., according to police.

Update 7 a.m. EST, March 6, 2023: Police confirm they have a suspect in custody in the Sunday night shootings.

Bolingbrook Police said they were called to the 100 block of Lee Lane at 8:15 p.m. Sunday for a possible home invasion. When officers arrived, they found three adults and a girl with gunshot wounds.

A woman, a man, and the girl were pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman was taken to the hospital.

Information about a suspect has not been released as of late Sunday evening, according to WMAQ.
