Ohio burglary suspect found passed out in victim’s home, police say

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A burglary suspect who became too intoxicated was found passed out Wednesday on the floor of an Ohio bedroom, police said.

Columbus police said John M. Alexander was found around 6 a.m. after a homeowner heard someone breathing heavily, WCMH reported.

Investigators said Alexander appeared to be high on drugs and did not know who or where he was. Police found a pair of handcuffs, zip ties and a .22 caliber handgun in his backpack.

Alexander was taken to a hospital for evaluation then later arrested and charged with felony burglary, police said.
