Video shows looters ransack Florida Walmart making off with $100K in merchandise

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A crowd of people ransacked a Florida Walmart making off with an estimated $116,000 in merchandise and causing damage to the store last month, when a protest got violent.

On Thursday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office released video of the May 30 incident in an attempt to identify the nearly 200 people who stormed the store, which was closed in response to earlier protests, WTVT reported.

“Not only is this violence completely unacceptable, it was disrespectful to the protesters who were out there that night trying to express their message in an impactful way,” Sheriff Chad Chronister told WFTS. “We are actively working to identify each and every one of these suspects and ask the public to provide any information they may have.”
