According to WABC-TV, video shows the driver of the white Ford 550 hit a parked car several times. Three people can then be seen rushing into the street, attempting to engage with the driver, but the vehicle sped away, sending an SUV hurtling toward the woman, who became pinned between the SUV and another vehicle.

A senior New York Police Department official told WNBC that the 49-year-old woman, who has not been identified publicly, was transported to an area hospital.

The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. EDT in Queens.

The truck was later found abandoned about a mile from the hit-and-run scene, but its driver remained at large late Sunday, WNBC reported.

According to police, the truck had been reported stolen about two hours before the Queens incident, WABC reported.

Police confirmed to the TV station that the woman is not likely to survive her injuries.
