A woman said she waited all day to hear news about friends in Orlando mass shooting.
The shooting at Pulse nightclub over the weekend killed 49 people and injured 53 others.
Cash Arroyo said she lost her best friend.
Action News Jax Paige Kelton met Arroyo Sunday night at the crime scene. She was standing off to the side, quietly waiting for word about her friend, Shane.
An hours later, Arroyo saw his name on that list of the 49 dead.
“I mean, I waited all day. I waited all night,” Arroyo said. “Just friends, we waited, hoping that someone would be, like, he's in the hospital in critical condition or anything but that.”
Arroyo was also friends with Rodney Sumter Jr., of Jacksonville. He had surgery on Monday and is now recovering, according to family.
