JEA: Boil water alert for Oakleaf High, Oakleaf Junior High, Plantation Oaks Elementary

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Jacksonville Electric Authority issued a boil water advisory for Oakleaf High School, Oakleaf Junior High School and Plantation Oaks Elementary School in addition to the areas west of State Road 23 to McClelland Road in the Oakleaf Community north to New World Avenue and south to Oakleaf Plantation Parkway to include Piper Glen Blvd (Bent Creek Subdivision). This includes the subdivisions:

  • Bent Creek Golf Course
  • Shindler Cove Mobile Home Comm.
  • Cecil Aquatics Center
  • Jacksonville Equestian Center
  • Cecil Field Industrial Complex ​​​​​​​
  • Saddlebrook Landings
  • Winding Mare ​​​​​​​
  • Oakleaf Plantation
  • Trails at Bent Creek

The advisory is only precautionary according to JEA  and is in effect due to a water main break. JEA says customers in these areas should bring water to rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking of using to prep food with.

The Clay County School District is working with district staff to make sure safe drinking water is provided for students and staff.

The School District is monitoring this issue with JEA.
