GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida has fired head football coach Dan Mullen, according to the university.
The Gator’s athletics director, Scott Stricklin, announced the two would part ways.

The Gators are 5-6 on the season, 2-6 in the SEC.
Special teams coordinator/running backs coach, Greg Knox will be the interim head coach, according to the Gators.
Stricklin will hold a news conference at 3 p.m. to provide more details.
