Flags will be flown at half-staff in Florida to pay respects to fallen United States Army Specialist Nick Bravo-Regules.

Regules died during a non-combat related incident overseas as part of Operation Inherent Resolve in Jordan on June 23.

The 20-year-old soldier was a member of 2nd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Division of Fort Bliss, Texas.

In a memorandum written by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, as a “mark of respect,” he directed that United States flags be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Friday, July 10, at the Pinellas County Court in Clearwater, the City Hall in Largo and at the State Capitol in Tallahassee.

Action News Jax has compiled pictures of Regules, when the unit deployed in January and photos from the dignified transfer of his remains.

A funeral will be held for the Florida native July 10 in Clearwater where he will receive full military honors.
