You may be making plans to dine out, but Action News Jax Ben Becker discovered dirty dining at local restaurants.
Becker paid a visit to Wendy’s on Max Leggett Parkway near Interstate 95, but the door was locked during normal business hours.
Becker walked through the drive-thru until he got up to the window and knocked when saw there were workers inside -- but no one was answering.
State inspectors found sewage backing up through floor drains, two live flies and both restrooms were not clean. It was temporarily closed.
Finally, a door opened to let in an employee, but Becker was given a frosty response.
“I’m here about the recent inspection when you guys were closed,” Becker said to a worker as the door was slammed shut.
Buffalo Wild Wings on City Station Drive at River City Marketplace was cited for one live roach, 13 dead roaches and 41 live flying insects. It was temporarily closed.
Inspectors say Zaxby’s on Airport Service Road South near International Parkway had five live roaches, eleven dead roaches and an employee handled soiled equipment while engaging in food prep. It was temporarily closed.

All the restaurants passed follow up inspections.
