JSO: Man in custody after shooting near Philips Highway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has responded to a shooting at the 2800 block of Blair Rd. E., which is off Philips Highway.

According to JSO, at approximately midnight, officers responded to a domestic incident that resulted in shots being fired. The investigation revealed that an argument had ensued between a father and son, where at least one round was fired into the father’s right foot.

The victim was transferred to a local hospital for treatment, and the suspect was taken into custody.

JSO reports that Violent Crimes detectives are currently investigating the case.
