2 Jacksonville students charged with false imprisonment

Matthew Khosrozadeh and Clayton Cook are accused of forcing a man to get inside a car, beating him and telling him they were going to take him to a bridge and kill him.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two students were arrested after they forced a man into a car and beat him, according to officials.

Officers were called to Daryl Drive after reports of a kidnapping on April 25.

The victim told officers 21-year-old Matthew Khosrozadeh and 19-year-old Clayton Cook forced him to get inside a car, beat him and told him they were going to take him to a bridge and kill him.

A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office helicopter located Khosrozadeh and Cook driving away from the area and officers pulled them over.

Khosrozadeh told officers his house had been burglarized and the victim confessed his involvement in a cell phone video.

Officers said the video showed Khosrozadeh holding the victim while hitting him and asking who burglarized his house.

Khosrozadeh and Cook were charged with false imprisonment, which is a third degree felony.

Cook, a University of North Florida student, was also charged with two counts of possession of counterfeit drivers license or ID card for two California drivers licenses he had with him.

Khosrozadeh is also listed as a student on his arrest report.
