DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A man faces life in prison for the shooting death of a 40-year-old man.
Cedric Tate, 28, was found guilty Wednesday evening for the charge of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Tate shot and killed Wilfred Johnson in the back of the head in July of 2013 and ran from the scene. He was later arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, said the State Attorney’s Office.
Tate is scheduled to be sentenced the week of April 20.
