3 Camden County schools reported a school threat hoax sent through Snapchat

CAMDEN COUNTY, Fla. — Camden County School Officials were notified of a potential threat to Camden County High School, Camden Middle School, and St. Marys Middle School.

This fake school threat was sent out May 4.

It was a threat sent via Snapchat threatening a school shooting on May 5.

After a through investigation, law enforcement determined the Snapchat was a hoax and was being sent to several other schools.

As a precaution, there will be increased law enforcement present at the high school and both middle schools.
