$50K taken from Jacksonville's Restaurant Depot

Thousands of dollars in cash was stolen from Jacksonville's Restaurant Depot and it could be part of a nationwide crime spree.

According to JSO, an employee reporting to work on Sunday found a back door cut open, a room with computer servers damaged, security cameras disabled and the safe busted open, with almost $50,000 missing.

Police say there have been three recent burglaries at Restaurant Depots with the same M.O. in Alabama and Georgia. One shopper says employees he knows are wondering what's going on

"It seems to me being in the business for this long it was someone that knew the loophole and how to maneuver," said customer Moises Santana.

There are more than 100 Restaurant Depots across the country. We reached out to the company for comment and are waiting to hear back.
