HAWTHORNE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol says a Jacksonville man was behind the wheel of a semi that crashed early Sunday in Alachua County.
Troopers say the semi was heading north on U.S. 301 when it lost control, crossed the median and hit a pickup truck.
The driver of the truck, 72-year-old Wiley Clark of Hawthorne, was killed.
Troopers are still working to figure out why the semi went across the median.
