JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A teen arrested for shooting and killing a 17-year-old in her own home is now charged with murder and evidence tampering.
A source tells Action News Jax 17-year-old Tremayne Robinson found the gun days before shooting 17-year-old Alayshia Powe.

A source told us Robinson allegedly called 911 and originally said someone else shot the teen girl.
A source says he then admitted he shot her when the gun accidentally discharged.
Action News Jax reported Friday when 17-year-old Alay Powe was shot in the head and died inside her home.
A source says Robinson admitted to police he shot her. But said it was an accident.
We’re told he found the gun in bushes in the days leading up to the shooting.

Our source also confirms the suspect told police he was showing Powe the gun he found and when he set it down the gun discharged killing her.
According to JSO, he then tried to get rid of the gun nearby.
Powe’s family told Action News Jax they’re planning to be there when Robinson appears in court.
