‘All clear’ after military ordnance discovered on Florida beach

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office in Vero Beach, Florida was called out to a surprising scene.

Beach-goers alerted the police when they found what looked to be a land mine. Patrick Air Force Base was called in. They responded and collected what they called, “old military ordnance.”

The ordnance was removed from the section of the beach.

No injuries were reported.
