ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — Detectives with the Atlantic Beach Police Department announced the arrest Tuesday of Antonieo Harden yesterday on two counts of burglary following a series of car break-ins. The arrest follows reports of multiple burglaries into unlocked vehicles in the area of Dutton Island Road, Dudley Street and George Street.
The vehicle burglaries took place between Sept. 18 and Sept. 21, according a police social media post. Investigators are conducting pending investigations into other related incidents, the post states.
Among the open cases under investigation, police reported that one uncharged burglary involved a stolen firearm. Following the arrest, the Atlantic Beach Police Department issued a safety reminder to residents regarding vehicle security. “PLEASE keep your car doors locked and your guns and valuables secured,” the Police Department said.
Police indicated that additional charges are possible as open investigations into the remaining break-ins move forward.
