JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax has learned the Florida Attorney General’s Office is now investigating the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.
Action News Jax has obtained an internal JTA email sent to board members from interim CEO Cleveland Ferguson.

The email said Ferguson has received a subpoena seeking records from October 2023 to October 2025 tied to former CEO Nat Ford, Ford’s wife, and an organizational development firm.
The subpoena also seeks records involving tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and related communications through this year.
Ferguson said JTA is preserving records and has assigned the agency’s internal auditor to oversee the collection of documents because some of the requested records involve his own communications.
