U.S.A. — Families of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd are now all calling for an end racial violence and change to our nation’s criminal justice system.

High profile attorneys Lee Merritt and Benjamin Crump represent their families.

“We can no longer do this on a case by case basis,” Lee Merritt said.

“I’m honored to fight for justice with my omega brother in so many cases that are heartbreaking,” said Benjamin Crump.

Floyd died in police custody in Minneapolis Minnesota on Monday and video showed an officer kneeling on his neck as he struggled to breathe.

Crump released a statement after the arrest of the former officer saying the arrest was welcome, but they also want to see the other 3 officers involved in Floyd’s death arrested.

“We can’t have neck compressions and restrictions as a way to detain people, especially people of color,” Crump said.

Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed in Brunswick Georgia during a struggle with a former police officer and his son in February and video showed the two men block his path as he jogged down the road.

“Mind you it’s not just the men and women who murder individuals that and who aren’t held accountable but it’s the system that protects them,” said Meritt.

Breonna Taylor was shot in her Louisville home in March when police entered her home with a warrant.

Attorney Merritt and Crump say they hope the department of justice will investigate each case thoroughly.

“That’s why we are asking the governor to acknowledge and inherent conflict between district attorney offices and law enforcement community,” Crump said.

Attorneys for these families said that they plan to present a case to the United Nation Human Rights Committee to bring changes to our nation’s criminal justice system.
