Baptist Health team members head to the super bowl

Jacksonville, FL. — It’s the road trip everyone dreams about.

“She said I got some good news for you and I said like what?” CNA, member of the Flex Team, Alicia Carter said to her manager. “She was like, you’re going to the Super Bowl! I was like, are you kidding me?”

For the weekend, best friends Tujuana Dudley, Alicia Carter and Jodie Bisogno are among 12 Baptist Health healthcare heroes saying goodbye to Jacksonville and hello to Tampa.

“This is the bucket list, the top of the line, a person that represents Jacksonville and the Jaguars, thank you so much. I feel privileged,” Dudley said.

As part of the National Football League’s tribute to healthcare workers, Pharmacy Operations Manager Lori Fiallo says she’s thankful for the opportunity after an incredibly difficult year.

“Specifically with the vaccine clinic in the last month, we’ve worked really hard assuring all the team members can get vaccinated,” Fiallo said. “We started the week before Christmas and it hasn’t stopped.”

The Baptist Health team members will be joining about 7,500 vaccinated healthcare workers at the Super Bowl; a thank you for going above and beyond for their patients during this pandemic.

“I dedicate this to my patients, they’re my heroes,” RN for Baptist North Medical Campus, Jody Dolan-Aldrich said. “They’re the ones that made this possible.”

Dolan-Aldrich, who’s never been to an NFL game before, says she’s feeling grateful.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me,” she said. “I am beyond excited.”
