Barge hits pier, boats at Dames Point Marina in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A barge hit a pier and four boats in the Dames Point Marina on Friday afternoon, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast.

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville and Station Mayport were called to respond to a “reported marine casualty,” USCG said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, the Coast Guard said.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is working with the boat owners, USCG said.
