UPDATE: Starke Police Department asking for help in a death investigation

STARKE, Fla. — More information has been released about a homicide investigation in Starke. A man was found dead inside a home on the 500 block of Washington Street on Sunday afternoon.

Police said they initially responded to a burglary call at around 9 a.m. The people who called 911 noticed signs of forced entry. There was a broken window. The victim, 31-year-old Demetri Jaron Blount, was found dead inside the home. Police say he had been shot.

Police say several shots were fired in the front yard and on the road in front of the home. Investigators also uncovered images of a suspect vehicle. They are now looking for a dark-colored, four-door vehicle.
