JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A swimmer has been rescued from strong riptides in the Atlantic Ocean off Hanna Park, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
A spokesperson for JFRD has stated the patient was transported to the local hospital.
The age of the child, gender, and condition were not released at this time.
This news comes almost over an hour after Action News Jax reported a missing swimmer at Huguenot Memorial Park that died.
Crews have transported a distressed swimmer from Hanna Park.

Starting after 11 a.m. Saturday, JaxReady, an official Twitter for the city’s emergency division posted that waters off the coast of North Florida were under a red flag warning, due to strong rip currents and dangerous ocean conditions warning swimmers not to get in the water.
RED FLAG WARNING - HIGH HAZARD / DANGEROUS OCEAN CONDITIONS. Swimmers should not go in the water. In case of emergencies, call 911.
