JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Chunks of concrete were spotted along Jacksonville’s popular Southbank Riverwalk under the Main Street Bridge Monday afternoon.
An Action News viewer snapped a picture of fallen concrete chunks right under the Main Street Bridge.
The Florida Department of Transportation says the bridge was just inspected Saturday and Sunday.
A spokesman for the department says inspectors would have noticed something dangerous during their work.

Still, some who use the walking trail say they’re keeping an eye on the bridge when they walk underneath it.
“Safety of people walking under it may be a concern,” said David Romano, a visitor from Tampa.
“I would use caution or circumvent it,” said Daren Singleton, a Jacksonville resident.
FDOT officials say they will send an inspection team again to make sure everything is OK.
