More than a dozen people were arrested on drug charges after several undercover operations in Clay County on Wednesday.

Eight people are on the run following a countywide raid in Clay County.
Twenty-three people were arrested in the sting that started at 5 a.m.
“I got out of bed at 4 o'clock this morning,” said Sheriff Darryl Daniels.
For most of the day, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies worked together to get drug dealers off the streets.
“They’re sick and tired of this mess that’s going on in society, and I’m taking a stand, if no one else will,” said Daniels who is sticking by his message that he will not tolerate this type of crime in his county.
During “Operation Sheriff’s Office Blend” -- 23 people were arrested from Middleburg, Green Cove Springs, Orange Park and Keystone Heights.
Most of the warrants involved the sale and delivery of drugs such as heroin, cocaine and meth.
“That’s where they need to be off the street. Police got their job to do,” said Mary Frazier.
A surprising opinion, perhaps from Frazier whose son, Joe Frazier, 40, is now behind bars.
“I didn’t know he messed with drugs. Maybe he will learn,” she said.
Sheriff Daniels said they are still looking for eight men, including Justin Ervin, 30, who he said is threatening suicide by cop.
“I’m begging this young man not to go that route,” he said.
