Clay County deputy arrested on a DUI charge following crash, sheriff’s office says

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said one of its own has been arrested and faces a charge of driving under the influence following a crash over the holiday weekend.

On Sunday, just before midnight, CCSO said Deputy Myron White, a law enforcement officer, was involved in a single-car crash near Blanding Boulevard and Howard Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash before CCSO arrived, “which is a common practice when members of our agency are involved in traffic crashes,” the sheriff’s office stated.

After investigating, FHP arrested White for alleged DUI and White was taken to jail.

White is a 12-year veteran of CCSO.
