CCSO: Undercover investigation leads to prostitution, drug arrests

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover investigation that ended with two people arrested on prostitution and drug charges.

According to CCSO, the investigation occurred at the Astoria Hotel in Orange Park.

CCSO received information that two people, Brandi McCary and Shrika Kirtsey, were possibly soliciting sexual acts in exchange for money and being in possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia at the hotel.

According to CCSO, detectives located McCary’s profile on an escort website and an undercover detective reached out to her in an attempt to acquire her services.

McCary told the detective to meet her at her room at the Astoria Hotel, where she attempted to provide him with sexual services, CCSO says.

Detectives then detained McCary and Kirtsey, after they found her in the bathroom.
