Camden County, Ga. — COVID-19 vaccines are coming to 108 Publix pharmacies across Georgia beginning this weekend, including one in Camden County.
The grocery store chain announced that they are teaming up with Governor Brian Kemp and the state of Georgia to distribute the vaccines to first responders, health care workers, people aged 65 and older and their caregivers, and residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
Vaccinations are provided by appointment only. You can make an appointment here.
Vaccines will begin on Saturday, Jan. 16.
“At Publix, we know how important it is to be there, especially in times of need,” said Publix CEO Todd Jones. “We are grateful for the opportunity to provide this critical service to the Georgia community.”
Publix said vaccinations are provided while supplies last, and at no cost.
Customers with health insurance will need to bring their insurance card to their scheduled appointment. Medicare members should bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
