99 marijuana plants worth $275,000 found at Palatka man's home, deputies say

Deputies arrested a 60-year-old man Wednesday after they found 99 marijuana plants worth $275,000 growing in his Palatka home.

Putnam County Sheriff's Office said deputies found the plants at James Vammen's house after an anonymous tip about an indoor marijuana grow on Michelle Avenue.

Deputies said the 99 plants were growing in two rooms.

Deputies said they also found drug paraphernalia.

Vammen was arrested on charges of producing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.

He was booked at the Putnam County Jail on March 15 and is being held on a $3,500 bond.
