Drivers are already driving too quickly on the new State Road 9B extension in St. Johns County, deputies said.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Department said Thursday that they are concerned about motorist safety on the first full day of useage on the road, which connects I-95 and I-295 to the heavily-populated suburbs of northwest St. Johns County.
We will start strict enforcement on the new 9B from St. Johns Parkway in the near future with the goal of keeping our motorists safe. If motorists have any questions or concerns, please contact the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit. Please drive safely! pic.twitter.com/woVyTLfjsc

Phase 3 of the new State Road 9B opened its northbound lanes on Wednesday. The road, years in the making, extends from I-295 and I-95 in Duval County and is expected to be a key cog in the massive Durbin Creek development off Race Track Road.
