DEPUTIES: Clay county home busted for drugs for the second time in 2019

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — For the second time this year, a Clay County home was raided by narcotics officers with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

CCSO’s organized crime unit, targeted narcotics team and SWAT paid the home on the 2000 Block of Blue Knoll Road a visit on Monday.

On the home you’ll find a plywood board reading, “You had options.”, The boards are a calling card of CCSO. Homeowners are taking notice.

“That is awesome. That’s probably the best campaign there is,” said neighbor Bryan Wright.

Deputies arrested Dale Holland, 38, at the home on Monday, and charged him with maintaining a drug dwelling.

Action News Jax reported in September when Holland was arrested in the same home and charged with possession of meth and child neglect without great bodily harm.

Holland’s family said at the time, a 16-year-old girl was living in the home where meth was prevalent.

“I heard through the grapevine from folks who were calling me because I was at work, about the sheriff’s had it all blocked,” said Wright.

Law enforcement was tipped off by tips from the community.

Deputies said they found fentanyl, methamphetamine and other evidence inside.

We searched the address in Clay County’s crime map and found two drug-related crimes within a mile of the home in the last six months. The results included Holland’s September arrest, and a sale and delivery of narcotics arrest on Plankton Road in October.

Neighbors said it’s comforting to know CCSO is sending a message.

“It is concerning to a degree, but I know Sheriff Daniels has been doing a whole lot of hard work shaping the place up and I’m just glad to see it happening,” said Wright.

As soon as we receive Holland’s latest arrest report, we’ll update you online, on-air and on the Action News Jax mobile app.
