JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Councilman Jimmy Peluso invites the public to a neighborhood workshop Thursday at 6 p.m. to discuss the design of the University of Florida Jacksonville campus. The meeting is held at the Ritz Theatre and Museum.
The campus is currently in the design stage. Peluso, who represents City Council District 7, invited university leadership, developers, architects, and engineers to the workshop to provide updates on the project development.
The workshop focuses on recommendations for incorporating the heritage and history of the neighborhood into the campus design. Peluso invited community members to offer input on how the project can reflect local history through its architecture and layout.
