FSCJ hosting free event to help college students with FAFSA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Preparing financially for college can be difficult for anyone. Add a global pandemic to the mix and it can be even harder.

Florida State College at Jacksonville is hosting a virtual event that will help college-bound students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

FSCJ is partnering with Earn Up, Duval County Public Schools, Nassau County School District, the University of North Florida, City Year Jacksonville, and Year Up Jacksonville for the event.

Students that register for the event will be qualified to receive a scholarship from FSCJ and UNF.

The event will go over the following,

• Learn about the importance of completing the FAFSA
• Receive guidance on ways to pay for college
• Hear from financial aid experts and ask questions
