Police: Jacksonville man charged after person he sold narcotics to dies

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A Jacksonville man has been arrested months after a person police say he sold drugs to died, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

An officer was called out to a home on February 16 on Otterwood Court regarding an overdose death investigation.

Through the course of an investigation, JSO was able to identify Mark Singletary, 37, as the person who sold McCaffrey Barr the narcotics that led to his death, the arrest report stated.

A warrant was issued for Singletary’s arrest and he was arrested on a manslaughter charge on Saturday, June 12.

He’s being held in jail on a $500,003 bond.
