DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A man in his 60s is dead after being run over by a train Wednesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The Norfolk Southern train was at a stop when the man allegedly tried to cross under the train with a bicycle. Police say they had attempted to cite the victim for trespassing just minutes before he was run over.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.
The crash happened in the area of 2885 St. Clair Street near Old Kings Road.
