JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Securing the first draft pick is bringing in a new crowd of season ticket holders and resurrecting some old ones.
5,000 new fans put down deposits to claim season seats for 2021.
“There’s a whole audience of new people that are brand new to our database,” Chad Johnson said. He serves as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Service for the Jaguars. “Then we’re connecting with some of our lapse season ticket holders from years past. Maybe some that took a couple years off that are calling going ‘Chad can I get my seats back?’”
Johnson said the hype and energy started to build this past December when the team secured the first draft pick after a tough 2020 season. It got more exciting as the team welcomed new coach Urban Meyer.
“We’re anticipating that we’re going to sell out of our lower level inventory,” Johnson said.
Fans are hoping for a competitive upcoming season.

“This year I’m just incredibly excited. We’re clearly going to just dominate,” Dom Iannacone said. The previous season ticketholder skipped 2020 but is back this year. “You know sitting there in August when it’s blazing hot with the mask on wasn’t exciting me that much. But this year, I’m willing to put up with it for Trevor Lawrence.”
A Jaguars spokesperson said the stadium will operate at full capacity. It’s still up in the air on whether masks will be required. We’re told there will be a decision most likely in August.
Tickets for the 2021-2022 season go on sale May 12. You can learn more about tickets and the upcoming season by clicking HERE.
