Power restored to hundreds of JEA customers in the Jacksonville area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: Power was restored to hundreds of JEA customers on Sunday. There are six remaining power outages in Jacksonville with 42 customers affected, according to the JEA website.

JEA crews are working to fix several power outages in the Jacksonville area on Sunday.

The biggest outage is near the Trout River along Plummer Road. This outage is impacting 383 customers.

An assessment is underway to determine the cause, and the estimated restoration time is 6:15 p.m.

STORY: Flooding conditions in San Marco and Downtown Jacksonville

Further down in the College Park neighborhood, there is an outage affecting 194 customers. JEA’s website says a transformer or equipment shorted out in the area. The estimated restoration time is 5:44 p.m.
