JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three JEA lineworkers earned two second-place finishes at the International Lineman’s Rodeo last weekend in Overland Park, Kan.
Journeymen Robert Hess, Cody Stokes and Caleb Macabitas represented the utility at the national competition.
The team secured second-place honors in two mystery events featuring undisclosed challenges. Those events included a four-kV insulator changeout and fuse coordination.
The annual rodeo featured competition among more than 300 teams and 450 apprentices. The event was designed to evaluate technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and safety practices during field operations.
