More COVID-19 testing comes to Jacksonville: What you need to know about where and when to get tested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — There are now four federal testing sites and one city run testing site in Jacksonville, as of Monday, July 13. Come Thursday, an additional city-run testing site will be added to the list.

Here's what you need to know:

The City of Jacksonville has partnered with Telescope Health to create two testing sites in Jacksonville.

- East Arlington location: Jim Fortuna Senior Center at Ed Austin Park, 11751 McCormick Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225

- Open Monday-Wednesday

- 7 A.M. to 3 P.M.

- Beaches location: Former Kmart Shopping Center, 540 Atlantic Blvd, Neptune Beach, FL. 32266

- 7 A.M. to 3 P.M.

Time slots for city testing sites are based on last name and risk-level:

7-8am: High Risk Only*

8-10am: A-E

9-11am: F-J

11am-1pm: K-O

12-2pm: P-T

1-3pm: U-Z

Federal testing sites are located in four different locations throughout Jacksonville.

Downtown: TIAA Bank Field, Lot J

Will close for testing on Wednesday, July 15 at 5 P.M.

Lot J will operate its last day at the current TIAA Bank parking lot (Lot J) on Wednesday. Once they are done that evening at Lot J, the TIAA Lot J site will permanently close. The new testing site that is taking the place of Lot J is the old Sears store at the Regency Square Mall with testing being conducted inside that space. The Sears site will be operational Thursday morning normal operating times like the old Lot J on July 16, 2020 the only difference is that testing will be inside versus drive-thru.

“We are still working on some things on how the new site will be formatted,” a spokesperson with the Florida Division of Emergency Management said.

Additional details are expected to be released this week.
