New Ulta Beauty fullfillment center bringing needed jobs to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax confirmed with Ulta Beauty on Friday their plans to open a fast fulfillment center in Jacksonville has been accelerated due to increased online sales.

Ulta Beauty tells Action News Jax, “We are excited to bring new jobs to the region but have not yet posted listings nor are we sharing numbers related to employment quite yet. While we do not have a specific date to share, the aim is to have the center operational in time to support the holiday season.”

According to the latest data available from the Florida DEO, for April 2020, the unemployment rate in Duval County reached 11.3%.

Back in March of this year, it was only at 4.4%. But Donald Wiggins, President of Heritage Capital Group, thinks that won’t be the case for too much longer. “There will be job opportunities but I think will be companies from companies opening back up no question there are some that are not going to open back up.” He continues to say, “If you ask me in the next three or four months five months I think we will essentially be back up to speed.”
