JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said an officer traveling eastbound on Soutel Drive around 4 a.m. Thursday was hit by another driver traveling north on New Kings Road.
It appears the driver traveling north ran a red light and struck the officer’s patrol car, according to JSO.
Police said both the officer and other driver were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.
