JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
9:40 p.m. UPDATE:
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stated the pedestrian was an adult male between the ages of 40 and 60.
He was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle has stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
According to JSO, the early investigation reveals the driver had a green light when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported crash with injuries on Beach Blvd. and Barkley Rd. Monday evening.
An Action News Jax photographer went to the scene where a witness told him there was a man j-walking pushing his bike across Beach Blvd. when he was hit.
