Police say woman was running brothel out of a luxurious Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police said a luxurious home in the gated Deerwood community on Jacksonville’s Southside was being used as a brothel.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested Anna Domino, 50, at the home on Hunters Grove Dr. Tuesday.

The arrest report said Domino was facing several charges, including soliciting prostitution, maintaining a place for prostitution, unlicensed operation of adult premises and adult entertainment without a license.

Action News Jax spoke with several neighbors off-camera who said they knew something shady was going on at the home because they saw people coming and going constantly.

A neighbor, who we’ll refer to as Susan because she asked to remain anonymous for safety reasons, said it’s shocking.

“You would never expect this in Deerwood. Never,” Susan said. “It’s got people really riled up.”

Neighbors said if it can happen in this secluded, gated community, it can happen anywhere.

The arrest report said JSO’s Vice Unit contacted the Domino off an internet escort ad and arranged to meet up at the home on Hunters Grove Dr. where she was taken into custody.

According to Domino’s social media pages, she appears to refer to the house as “the fungeon.”

Neighbors said Domino had been renting the house since last summer and several people have been staying there.

Records show police have responded to the home nine times since this past Thanksgiving. The calls for service range from a drug investigation, a warrant, and a dispute.
