Preparing for Jax River Jams: Free concert series kicks off in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jax River Jams Concert Series presented by Vystar Credit Union kicks off on Thursday, April 8.

During the 4-week series, attendees can enjoy free concerts performed by national and local artists along the riverfront in downtown Jacksonville.

Each event will start at 5 p.m. at the Riverfront Plaza, located at 2 W. Independent Drive, the location formerly known as the Jacksonville Landing.

Local openers will perform at 6 p.m. followed by the headliner at 7:30 p.m.

There will be also an array of food trucks and local bars for concertgoers to enjoy.

Face coverings and/or social distancing will be required.

Metered parking in the area will be free after 5 p.m.

April 8: Country Singer-Songwriter Chase Rice with local opener Firewater Tent Revival

April 15: Punk Pop band New Found Glory with local opener Universal Green

April 22: Hip Hop artists and Jacksonville natives Quad City DJ’s with local opener LPT

April 29: Rock band Sugar Ray with local opener Honey Hounds
