An employee of the The Hook Fish & Chicken restaurant was shot during a robbery early Sunday, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
The suspect fled after the robbery, JSO said, and is being sought. JSO described him as a black male who was wearing a white mask and green jacket.
The employee was taken to a hospital and has a non-life threatening wound.
The shooting was the third of the weekend in Jacksonville. On Friday night, a 10-year-old boy was shot while playing video games, and a teen was hurt in a drive-by shooting.
In this JSO crime map search, I learned there were 18 incidents of violent crime within a 1/2 mile radius of this establishment over the past 6 months. @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/ZUY6lBoE4Y
